Superman Unbound!

This is a original animated movie brought to you by DC Universe. It came out last month but I happened to see this at the World Premier at Wonder - Con earlier this year before it was released to the public. This movie is based on the comic book story arc " Superman: Brainiac " that came out in 2008. Superman / Clark Kent is voiced by Matthew Bomer.

Lois Lane is voiced by Stana Katic.

Supergirl is voiced by Molly Quinn.

and finally Brainiac is voiced by John Noble.

The movie starts out as Lois is captured by some terrorists and Supergirl comes to save her before Superman.

Soon after Superman heads into space to stop a meteor from crashing into Earth. He soon finds out that the meteor is really a drone sent by Brainiac.

Soon Brainiac has captured Superman and Superman realizes that Brainiac has been capturing cities and shrinking them to gather information including Kandor and later Metropolis. Supergirl gets the word on Superman's capture and heads on out to help.

Then its the battle to save the lost shrunken cities. I liked this movie. Great animation and of course the voices are done and believable. There are some great laughs also in this movie. My favorite part is when Lois gives the one finger salute. Classic!!!

The ending of this movie will have you clapping for Superman and Lois. I hope that's not giving it away but you will leave this movie with a smile. Go get this movie or take a gander at it through Netflix. Up Up and Away!!!!

New Comic book Wedenday

Once again another Wednesday and once again new comics are out! Lets start with Marvel since they are my favorite. First up we got X - Men # 1 of the Marvel Now line.

Ladies only club starting here. Looks like Storm is getting the ladies of the X-Men together to save Earth. No men allowed. This is the debut issue and will only deal with the women of X-Men. Next we have Avenging Spider-man # 21

Spider - Man vs. the Secret Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D still has the Chameleon. Finally on the Marvel side we have  Venom # 35.

Eddie Brock and Flash Thompson fighting side by side to save Philadelphia. Ok now on to DC Comics.We have a debut issue of Adventures of Superman # 1.

Yes Superman is back and also with a new issue means his first meeting with Lex Luthor. You can't go wrong with Superman. Finally we have Justice League of America # 4.

The JLA finds out who the leader of the Secret Society is. These are just some of the big ones out this week. Check your local comic store for more issues.

Ant - Man

Yes that's right time for a little blog about one of the 1st Avengers who gets no love until his movie comes out on November 2015.

Dr. Henry " Hank " Pym made his comic debut in Tales to Astonish # 27 in 1962

It is not until Tales to Astonish # 35 in 1962 do we get to see the Ant - Man himself.

Dr. Henry Pym is a Biochemist who while playing with some particles discovered that it could alter his size. He called this the Pym Particles.Next he created a helmet so he could communicate and control ants. Later on he would share his secret with his girlfriend Janet Van Dyne who would become the Wasp and those two would join and become original members of The Avengers. Another creation of Dr. Pym's is Ultron who later becomes The Avengers nemesis.

New Comics Released Today!

Yes it's Wednesday which means new comics are out today! Lets take a look at some that hit stores today.
On the Marvel side we have: The Fearless Defenders # 4AU

A tie-in issue to the on going story arc of Age of Ultron. It's winding down and there is a slight hope that Ultron can be deafeated. Next is Uncanny Avengers # 8AU

Another tie-in to Age of Ultron. I really like this cover and seeing Kang makes me smile! Next is one of my favorite comics right now Superior Spiderman # 10

The Return of the Green Goblin!!! AHHHHHHH Yeah! Finally on the Marvel side we get Daredevil # 26

Looks like Iron Man will make an appearance in this issue. Ok lets jump on over to the DC Comics. First up we got Flash # 20

Flash goes up against the Reverse Flash. Next we have Aquaman # 20

Aquaman enlists the help of The Others to find a missing relic. Finally we have Arrow # 7

The rise of Galactus and the Silver Surfer!

I'm a big Silver Surfer fan and I don't think I have done one blog on him yet. So here we go!!!!! Today I'm going to bring you Fantastic Four issue # 48 from 1966 . This was a three part issue that we comic nerds call The Galactus Trilogy. It ran from Issues 48 - 50. Why is this important? Well Marvel introduced us for the 1st time in this issue Galactus the devour of worlds , and Silver Surfer ( Norrin Radd ). Silver Surfer would go on to get his own comic book in August of 1968. Besides those two in this issue we of course have The Fantastic Four , The Inhumans and The Watcher. Hope you enjoy this great issue and the beginning of some great Marvel characters.

Batman Arkham Origins!

I'm excited Arkham  Origins release date has been confirmed its 10-25-13 and also a new trailer for the game is out. Boy does it look good. Here it is.

I can't wait to get my hands on this game. This game is going to be a prequel to the 1st two games.  I loved the first two in the Series which was Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. I have beaten both of those games and still find my self playing them for fun. The graphics are great the story is excellent! Here are a few pictures of Arkham City.

As you can see they look great and play great. The city had so many places to go and visit almost seemed endless. Looks like by watching the video we will get some more story lines with how Batman made friends and enemies. Also we will be getting new characters to fight against like DeathStroke , Deadshot , and Blackmask... I can't wait!!!
